Position Summary
An exciting opportunity exists in our Metals Division in Fort Saskatchewan for a Coordinator, Global SCM Strategy.

The purpose of the Coordinator is to support initiatives within the Global SCM Strategy team.

This will include assisting in the development of Supply Chain documentation, implementation of appropriate tools and templates and providing a foundation for an effective and efficient supply chain management practice in support of Oil, Gas and Power (OGP), Corefco, Sherritt Fort Site ("Metals") and Sherritt Technologies organizations overall strategies and objectives.


Accountabilities

  • Build relationships and work crossfunctionally with internal stakeholders to support the implementation of appropriate tools, templates and systems for the efficient and effective execution and governance of SCM processes
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators to ensure that initiatives are on track to meet company goals, while assisting in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Commit to continuous, collaborative Supply Chain Management and organization improvement while continually seeking learning opportunities
  • Supporting the creation of documentation and procedures specific to all SCM practices
  • Perform other related duties as required/assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in business or supply chain, or; Professional designation
  • SCMP, SPSM, PMP, equivalent or 3 years of contract experience is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices and procedures is an asset
  • Knowledge of AVETTA software is an asset
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and complex issues, and to react quickly and take advantage of changing business conditions
  • Foster an environment in which continuous improvement of SCM tools, procedures and standards takes place, often in a supporting role within the Operational Excellence (OE) framework
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio
  • Excellent computer and presentation skills
