Description

Reporting to Controller, the Accounting Clerk will be mainly responsible for supporting payroll and general accounting activities.

As an
on-site position, this opportunity is excellent for someone who aspires to work in accounting as it provides a variety of exposure that will kick-start your career.

You're a self starter, you pride yourself on catching the details and you understand the importance of providing responsive service to those in the organization.

How You Contribute

Calculate and process semimonthly staff payroll
Manage employee holiday records, timesheets, and benefits
Process and file ROEs, payroll tax, and WorkSafeBC remittances
Maintain and update staff records
Process adhoc payroll adjustment.
Accounting for credit cards, expense accounts and payroll entries;
Code invoices to correct general ledger accounts before entry into Quickbooks Enterprise
Review, validate and enter employee expense reports and reconcile credit cards
Assist with collection of overdue accounts
Other adhoc tasks or projects

What You Bring

1 year of accounting or administrative experience in manufacturing business or highvolume transaction business.
Degree or diploma in accounting/finance
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly in Excel)
Salesforce and MRP/ERP experience would be considered an asset.
Experience in a multicurrency manufacturing company would be considered an asset
