Junior Field Technician

Position Overview:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Installation & service of sensor system components (cable, enclosures, sensors, etc.)
  • Performance with nondestructive testing practices
  • Project site data collections including photo/videographic record keeping.
  • Creating field reports with site photos and coherent detailed descriptions from templates.
  • Assist with basic production of electronics when field work is not required.
  • Follow all safety protocols, Covid procedures, and work instructions as needed

Performance Competencies:


  • Able to meet physical requirements which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting (up to 55 lbs), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (wind, rain, snow, sun)
  • Strong mechanical, analytical skills and comprehensive technical writing skills
  • Effective communication, team, and interpersonal skills
  • Understand construction principles and procedures as well as electrical and building codes.
  • With a BC drivers license and own vehicle
  • Dexterity in handling wires, cables, and electronics.
  • WHMIS and Fall Arrest Certificate holder is preferred.

Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$22.00-$25.00 per hour
