Veoneer Canada, Inc. is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as the Facilities Supervisor. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective operation and management of the installation, maintenance
and repair of equipment, building needs and projects within our manufacturing facility.
What you'll do
- Manage, provide direction, and coaches the facilities team.
- Schedule, assign and perform duties in plumbing, heating and ventilation, roofing, electrical, painting carpentry and other projects
- Ensures work is performed in a safe and efficient manner and within established safety procedures.
- Accurately plan budgets, capital expenses, projects, and determines material, equipment and labour needed for timely
- Inspects building and equipment maintains and oversees required repairs and maintenance work.
- Audit and report on facility conditions
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports to management team.
- Work with outside vendors including the scope of work and timely completion of projects
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
- Minimum 5 years of facilities experience preferred
- PMP certifications preferred
- Exhibits strong leadership qualities and possesses welldeveloped computer and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide direction, including providing advice and influencing personnel to make good decisions
- Very strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work activities to satisfy changing requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to accurately control costs and work performance;
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
- Experience working with plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical systems.
- Experience working with AutoCAD or other blueprint reading software.
- Experience working with vendors and contractors
