Finance Manager. As the Finance Manager, you will contribute to the company's growth and development beyond the Finance function.

Responsibilities include day to day financial dealings in accordance with approved policies and procedures ensuring that reports and documents accurately reflect the financial status of Wurth Canada.

This position is based out of our Guelph Head Office with the option of being partially remote.

Reporting to the to the Director of Finance, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manage daily operations of Wurth Canada Accounting. Scope includes Accounts Payable, Banking and Foreign exchange ensuring smooth processes and accurate financial transactions.
  • Provide strong leadership to a diverse, high functioning team.
  • Foster professional growth and development among team members.
  • Demonstrate an indepth knowledge of tax law, covering sales, corporate and withholding taxes.
  • Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Marketing and Logistics on analysis, forecasting, reporting, and adhoc requests.
  • Oversee the monthend procedures, including posting and reviewing journal entries, and preparing account reconciliations.
  • Be curious and proactive, identify root causes and get beyond treating symptoms.
  • Facilitate process adoption, usage, and drive enhancements for simplification and automation.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Lead, assign and coordinate various Finance and cross functional projects.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Stay current with evolving accounting regulations and the company's mandatory learning initiatives.
  • Effectively respond to challenging situations with a positive and professional approach, offering solutions and innovative ideas.

What YOU will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's degree and CPA.
  • 5+ years experience in accounting.
  • 3+ years in a management role overseeing employees.
  • Selfstarter who can perform in a fastpaced, deadline driven, and dynamic environment.
  • Effective in managing priorities and working time.
  • Strong crossfunctional collaborator who can create authentic relationships with colleagues.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Keen selfawareness and alignment with a workplace culture that is built on humanistic values and continuous improvement.
  • Adept and interested in understanding business needs and working to achieve the company's vision and goals.
  • Experience with inventory management is an asset.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Fully bilingual (French/English) is preferred verbal and written.
