Fixed Asset Analyst


What is the Opportunity?

What will you do?

  • Support and coach processors on fixed asset transactions and processes ensuring timely, accurate and completeness of fixed asset records.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting to the financial and regulatory reporting team.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert for fixed asset systems (SAP) processes and controls ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Deliver high quality service to RBC Partners, including adherence to agree upon service levels (SLA)
  • Provides consistent high quality service by responding to assistance requests and escalations from all channels within 24 hours contributing to achievement of business Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in the identification and resolution of complex issues and concerns at the first point of contact, taking a long term perspective in addressing client/BU concerns by identifying root cause of issue and action plans to resolve.
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying, recommending and helping implement solutions to recurring errors, service gaps and process efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.
  • Exercises due diligence in following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • This role is responsible to provide input and revisions on documentation as it relates to SOPs.
  • Supports the review all transactions/reports/documents to ensure compliance/adherence with policies/procedures/guidelines (SOX, G/L attestation, Enterprise G/L Attestation policy and Accounting Policy Group)

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:


  • University or college degree in accounting, finance, business preferred as well as 4 years of experience in operations or finance.
  • Strong knowledge in Fixed Asset processes and IAS 1
  • Solid knowledge of all Regulatory and Compliance rules as follows: Internal Audit reviews, SOX, Enterprise General Ledger Attestation policy, GAAP
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and ability to prioritize activities to ensure objectives are met.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma (LSS) or process improvement
  • Knowledge in SAP, Great Plains, and eGL systems
  • Accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) achieved or underway
