Full time position working from a home office.


The Organization


Vancouver Thunderbird Minor Hockey Association provides minor hockey for a membership of over 1,000 youth hockey players based on the westside of Vancouver.


Vancouver Thunderbirds Hockey aims to provide a player centered environment that creates a rewarding hockey experience for our community of players that is founded on character, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence on and off the ice.


The Opportunity


The Administration Coordinator reports to the Executive Director (ED) and will assist the ED in delivering an exceptional minor hockey experience to our members.

The coordinator is responsible for program registration, membership communication, as well as the organization, delivery, and support of Association events.

Assist with general administrative responsibilities and membership communication.

Oversight of membership registrations for season, summer camps, and in season clinics.

Process and maintain player and team registrations through TeamSnap platform and the Hockey Canada Registry.

Coordination and communication of team staff certifications and requirements.

Organize, support, and execute all Association events.

Support and assist Board members, Executive Director and other staff as required.


Qualifications
Prefer university degree or equivalent in sport management, recreation, business, or a related discipline.

  • 4 years administrative experience.
Passion for providing superior customer service.

Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to complete administrative tasks with mínimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to plan and organize events.

Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, Google drive, Zoom.

Proficiency with computers and technology.

Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within a team environment.

Some non-standard working hours and some evening/weekend hours generally during the hockey season.
