Description:
This position is a part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).
Salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) agreement.
Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.

Working for the School of Dentistry
The School of Dentistry has been educating students who wish to become oral health practitioners and championing the importance of oral health since 1917.
Position
Duties
The responsibilities during the academic year are primarily focused on didactic and clinical teaching with an expectation to develop as a scholarly teacher.
The position is located on an Alberta Health Services(AHS) site, compliance with AHS workplace Health & Safety policies are in effect.
Minimum
Qualifications
- Applicants will have a Certificate in Dental Assisting from a recognized postsecondary institution.
- All applicants must be registered with or eligible to be registered with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of adult education.
Preferred Qualifications
- A related Bachelor's Degree in Education, Leadership, Health Sciences, or Sciences is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in a Dental Assisting program or advanced education in Dental Assisting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and management skills, effective communication skills, and proficiency with computers and digital documentation.
