Position Overview:

As a Service Advisor at our car dealership, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service experiences for our clients.

You will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, offering guidance, recommendations, and assistance in vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Your expertise, professionalism, and strong communication skills will contribute to the overall satisfaction and loyalty of our valued customers.


Key Responsibilities:


Customer Service:
Greet customers promptly and courteously, providing a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Listen actively to customer concerns and effectively communicate with them to understand their vehicle service and repair needs.
Provide accurate and detailed explanations of recommended services, repairs, and estimated costs.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.


Service Recommendations:

Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and consult with customers on necessary maintenance or repairs based on manufacturer guidelines and service history.

Explain the benefits of recommended services, emphasizing safety, longevity, and performance enhancements to help customers make informed decisions.
Create comprehensive work orders that include a detailed breakdown of services, parts, and associated costs. Prioritize and schedule service appointments based on vehicle needs, time constraints, and available resources.


Technical Knowledge:
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, service procedures, and manufacturer recalls or service campaigns. Utilize dealership resources, technical manuals, and computer systems to access accurate information regarding vehicle specifications, parts, and service requirements. Provide basic technical advice and assistance to customers, addressing common concerns or troubleshooting issues when appropriate.


Coordination and Documentation:
Collaborate with the service team, including technicians and parts personnel, to ensure efficient and timely completion of service work.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and repairs using dealership software systems. Coordinate parts ordering and availability to minimize customer wait times and maximize service department productivity. Follow up with customers regarding completed services, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any additional concerns.


Sales and Revenue Generation:
Promote and upsell additional services, maintenance packages, and accessories based on customer needs and manufacturer recommendations.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for vehicle sales and trade-ins during service interactions. Meet or exceed individual and dealership service sales targets while maintaining a customer-centric approach.


Salary:
From $14.75 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Saint John, NB E2J 2C3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
