Heavy Equipment Operator - Greater Napanee, Canada - Morven Construction

Description

• Safely operate heavy equipment to complete various stripping, trenching, backfilling, removal and grade preparation projects.
• Safely operate various types of equipment including track excavators, dozers, rubber tired loaders and skid steer loaders.
• Work with a crew for the complete installation of sewer and watermain pipe and structures.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance on vehicles/equipment such as checking oil, water and tires.
• Ensure company equipment, material and project sites are maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation is preferred
• Ability and knowledge to safely operate a variety of heavy equipment
• General knowledge of road construction and underground infrastructure
• Ability to work around existing utilities
• Knowledge of workplace safety
• Strong communication skills with a positive attitude
• Hand and foot coordination
• Ability to work as a team
• Attention to detail
• Decisionmaking abilities to prevent accidents and damage
• Current G License
