    Role Description

    This is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with the flexibility for some remote work. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Intermediate Structural Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the design, analysis, and documentation of structural projects, utilizing technical expertise and advanced software tools to contribute to project success.     Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for structural components and systems.
    • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools to create accurate and high-quality technical drawings and models.
    • Assist in the preparation of structural calculations, load analyses, and design reports, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
    • Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions to address design issues and ensure project objectives are met.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions, verify dimensions, and gather relevant data for project documentation.
    • Support the preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and bid packages, adhering to company standards and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with project teams and external stakeholders to resolve design conflicts, address technical queries, and ensure seamless project delivery.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in technology, and changes in building codes and regulations relevant to structural engineering.
    • Mentor junior technologists and provide guidance on technical matters, software usage, and professional development.

    Qualifications

    This position requires demonstrated strength of leadership and proven time management capabilities. Your knowledge of the mining sector and your technical expertise will round out your qualifications for this position.

    Key Knowledge & Experience

    4+ years of experience are required for this position. Experience working in the consulting field with practice in design, drafting and 3D CAD is essential. Heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset, especially in the area of mining and, more specifically, potash mining.

    Specialized experience in the following software would also be considered an asset; Revit, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Inventor, and Microsoft Office. Other programming expertise would be very beneficial.

    Salary Range

    $75,000 - $106,000
