We are seeking a passionate, driven, and hardworking
Quality Manager.


As a
Quality Manager at Accumetal Manufacturing, you will Direct the Quality Management program to ensure processed parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.

As well as develop and implement quality management processes and programs. With a positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic you can help contribute to the further success of our company


What you will do:


  • Maintain and update Quality Manual according to ISO standards.
  • Review and update Quality policies in consultation with the Vice President.
  • Liaise with ISO representatives in ensuring compliance and certification.
  • Perform training and orientation of staff on Quality Manual and Work Travelers.
  • Participate in management meetings to plan and strategize around achieving
organizational objectives.

  • Supervise and support the work functions of the Quality Inspector, including
performance management activities.

  • Coordinate the maintenance and certification of tools according to specifications.
  • Work cooperatively with production members and management in the production
process. Provide feedback and instruction where required to production employees.

  • Review Manufacturing Traveler for accuracy and completeness to ensure that the
manufacturing process has been appropriately documented.

  • Compare finished product against specifications and blueprints. Evaluate paint for
colour, thickness, appearance and quality. Perform random selection of measurements
for verification.

  • Complete nonconformance report (ECI) for nonconforming pieces and as required
generate re-work order. Communicate required adjustments to Production Supervisors.

  • Complete production part approval process (PPAP, SPAP, FPI) for first run parts,
including 100% review of all specifications, material certification, heat number, etc.

  • Perform incoming/receiving inspection of ordered materials to validate accuracy of
pieces received to purchase order.

  • Provide support, as required, to all production personnel in double stamp approval of
First Article Inspection.

  • Use JobBoss software to review and record job related details.
  • Provide professional customer service to clients.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and abide by all health and
safety policies and procedures.

  • Prepare quality reports for customers and internal purposes.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding any quality issues.
  • Assist with maintaining Health and Safety Management System, ensuring all policies,
practices and procedures adhere to basic safety rules and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to use basic and advanced measuring devices (square, calipers, verniers,
measuring tape, FARO)

  • Knowledge of welding symbols, weld theory, procedures and inspection requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, CWB and AWS weld standards.

Required Education and Experience:


  • Completion of a College engineering program or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Welding Supervisor Experience.
  • Experience supervising in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • CWB Weld Supervisor certificate.
