We're looking for a diligent and organized person with some human resources administration experience to join the team at Inertia in the role of
Human Resources & Office Coordinator - someone who brings a positive energy to their work and who thrives in a collaborative environment where quality and customer satisfaction are always top of mind.

Note that this is a
20-month contract position to fill parental leave starting in January 2024.

Who we are looking for

You have:
- a college diploma or university degree in human resources, business administration or other related field is an asset.

  • 4+ years' experience successfully running a small but busy office including managing facilities, incoming inquiries, purchasing, and promoting team member engagement.
- outstanding customer service skills and the stories to prove it - you are resourceful.
- exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- an energetic and can-do attitude with ability to set realistic and attainable goals.
- an outgoing approach with a genuine interest in proactively supporting and engaging with all team members.

Responsibilities


Reporting to the Vice President Business Operations, the
Human Resources & Office Coordinator will be the glue that binds us and the oil that keeps our
Toronto office running smoothly.

As the person responsible for managing key aspects of the employee experience including facilities, purchasing, events, benefits coordination, and general human resources administration you will:

- be the first point of contact and provide guidance for team members on human resources and facilities related matters.
- support new employee onboarding including review of safe work expectations, equipment, benefits and payroll set up, asset tracking, criminal record check documentation etc.
- administer employee benefits including maintaining accurate records and acting as employee benefits program resource.
- support IT Service Provider and employee needs by monitoring and coordinating helpdesk tickets and other IT related tasks.
- proactively plan, promote, and implement regular team events to help build a connected and engaged team.
- enable and promote a high-level of communication and engagement across the team / offices / remote workers including maintaining internal communication sites/methods (e. SharePoint).
- provide travel planning and booking support to team members.
- administer purchasing and related documentation for both project and office needs.
- maintain office / kitchen / shop supplies and address general facility related issues and needs.
- coordinate and evaluate facilities-related vendors including cleaning, IT support, and phone services.
