Controller (Helicopter Business Unit) - Winnipeg, Canada - StandardAero
Description
What you'll do:
- Coordinate the daytoday financial operations within the business unit including the administration and monitoring of company financial policies.
- Produce financial reporting requirements of the business unit including labour productivity analysis, measures of performance, monthend and related journal entries, margin analysis, expense reviews and profit planning.
- Assist the bid/proposal presentation process using financial models to assess the profitability of new contracts along with potential impact on current results.
- Support mergers and acquisitions.
- Monitor, maintain and review financial records and general ledgers.
- Review and monitor contract program objectives and the effective utilization of the business unit funds. Recommend changes in financial resource allocations.
- Prepare and coordinate the preparation of financial statements, estimates, summaries and other financial analysis and management reports.
- Prepare all expenditure authorizations and monitors capital project spending.
- Liaise with company credit department and corporate lawyers with respect to business unit specific issues.
What skills you will use:
- Strong Business Acumen
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation or equivalent experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver business results throughout the organization, including senior leadership
- Strong coordination skills and welldeveloped judgment
- An ability to get things done: You are resultsdriven, resourceful, action oriented, and persistent
