Role Description
We are looking to expand by adding a
Civil Foreman/Woman to our construction team.

In this role, you will get an opportunity to contribute on all aspects of construction projects, management day-to-day construction activities for multiple construction sites.

This primarily includes reviewing civil works undertaken by civil contractors to ensure their work complies with drawings and specifications; and monitoring civil contractor progress to ensure alignment with the project schedule.

• Work with other Luxton personnel, engineers, and contractors to do valve engineering, work planning, scheduling, and rough budgeting.
• Develops, maintains, and drives the construction schedule in conjunction with project team; ensures project milestones and completion dates are achieved.
• Review of civil and preload drawings with the ability to do basic layouts.
• Issues material and services purchase orders and confirms receipt of materials and return of equipment. Responsible for ensuring that all materials delivered to site are in accordance with standards and specifications.
• Supervises field employees and subcontractors making sure their work is planned and performed efficiently and makes sure their extra work orders (EWO) and timesheets are accurately coded.
• Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the Health and Safety Program to promote overall compliance of Luxton Construction standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
• Should have no past criminal record and should be able to get Personnel Security Screening Service (PSSS) clearance under Public Works.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum
  68 years' experience in the construction industry managing complex or multiple projects in the industrial,
  public works, commercial, and institutional construction industry.
• Experience in public works and municipal projects is an asset.
• Perform takeoffs.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• BC Driver's License.
• Currently living in the Great Vancouver Area.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to commit to
  full timeemployment.
• Committed to work from office location in Delta, BC
• Ready, willing, and able to travel to job sites outside of the Lower Mainland on assigned rotation.
