    Position: Talize Donation Crew Team Member

    Type of Employment: Full-Time / Part-Time

    Reporting to: Talize Donation Crew Supervisor

    Direct Reports: None

    Responsibilities:

    Departmental Duties
    • Greet customers warmly and professionally, assisting with donations and maintaining inventory records.
    • Organize and process donations, including hazardous materials and unsellable items.
    • Monitor donation bins and educate customers on acceptable items.
    • Ensure a safe and clean work environment, following company guidelines for theft prevention and workplace safety.
    Health and Safety
    • Keep merchandise area clean and organized, report hazards, and practice safe lifting and handling procedures.
    • Wear appropriate PPE and maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
    Other Duties
    • Assist with stocking, customer service, and maintaining store appearance.
    • Engage with customers, promote store events, and contribute to sales goals.
    • Support management in various tasks and ensure store operations run smoothly.
    Experience:
    • 6 months to 1 year of retail experience, thrift retail experience is a plus.
    • Previous forklift or compactor operation experience is an asset.
    Core Competencies:
    • Concentration, attention to detail, communication skills, collaboration, and sales orientation.
    • Basic math, problem-solving, physical endurance, and safety consciousness.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items during shifts.
    • Constant bending, reaching, and handling of merchandise.
    • Physical strength for lifting and moving items up to 50lbs.
    Work Environment:
    • Exposure to dust, temperature changes, and noise.
    • Availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • Interact with customers and the public in a professional manner.
