Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Business Development, the Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for leading contract management activities for Sterling Crane Canada's operations.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Business Development, the Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for leading contract management activities for Sterling Crane Canada's operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with members of Sterling Business Development team as well as Operations Leads across Canada in contract administration.
  • Developing specific client contract tracking mechanisms and reporting on KPI's per contract.
  • Interface and communicate with various departments within Sterling Crane, including management, Sterling Crane Leadership team, Procurements, and Operations.
  • Track and analyze historical contract data and other documentation to prepare future evaluation
  • Participate in quote / contract turnover meetings on a projectbyproject basis.
  • Review commercial agreements, purchase orders, subcontracts, contracts and identify risks while providing recommendations to operations and commercial teams.
  • Act as the point of contact in conjunction with Vice President of Risk for contractual matters and draft contract or commercial change notices.
  • Track changes throughout the contract lifecycle and ensure these a communicated internally.
  • Identify key contract milestones and action items associated with each milestone.
  • Experience in dealing with T&M, Unit Price and Lump Sum contracts
  • In conjunction with the Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Business Development along with other departments, assist in tracking complex negotiations, contract renewals and track all contract changes.
  • Coordinate with Central Services on establishing, tracking and updating document control process for key accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce or Project Management
  • 5 + years experience in the Heavy Lift or construction industry is preferred.
  • This role will be based out of the Edmonton office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong Skills sets with MS Office
  • Effective written & verbal communication skills along with a willingness to learn and strong attention to detail are required for this role
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract best practices.
  • Ability to work within a team on company initiatives to drive results.
