National Practice Leader, Talent and Leadership Advisory (LAD and Search) that has the character and personality to work with a strong team of personable and successful individuals. Poised for aggressive growth, there has never been a better time to be part of the Gallagher Benefits team.

  • This role will be accountable for strategically positioning Gallagher Benefit Services in Canada as an industry leader in providing Talent and Leadership Advisory expertise for clients and prospects. This will be accomplished by driving consistency, best practices, a national sales strategy, efficiency and quality of work products and processes across all existing LAD and Search practice areas with the objective to deliver best in class services and resources to improve client sales, satisfaction and retention.

_The leader will also be accountable to manage a block of clients and other position related contributions to their local branch office. There will be a dual reporting relationship to the local office leader and the GBS Canada CEO_

How will I impact the business?

  • Provide LAD and Search leadership by driving consistent messaging and collaboration across the existing practice functions
  • Work directly with Canadian leadership and GBS divisional practice leaders to ensure alignment of resources, consistent delivery of services, and a balanced focus on divisional and regional initiatives.
  • Responsible for overall strategy, results and coordination of the marketing and sales activities associated with potential clients in partnership with the National Growth Leader
  • Work with Canadian leadership teams to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals are met or exceeded
  • Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring and direction to team member leaders to empower them to serve as a resource to potential clients
  • Provide consulting expertise regarding the industry trends to the Canadian team
  • Establish benchmarks/best practices against which to evaluate client needs
  • Provide thought leadership and identify opportunities and solutions that will facilitate organic growth
  • Support the submission of Request for Proposals for larger National prospective Clients as defined by size, revenue and status
  • Where necessary participate in CAR meetings for most important clients
  • Identify opportunities to crosssell; build executable and sustainable crossselling strategy
  • Build specific marketing materials for practice including integration with other practice areas in partnership with the National Marketing Director
  • Formalize practice area communications and serve as national spokesperson for the practice
  • Position Gallagher Benefit Services as a goto LAD and Search consultancy in the marketplace
  • Provide clear, handson leadership and foster a "growth culture" consistent with the organization's business goals
  • Contribute to the local branch through managing a block of clients, team members and other deliverables associated with the local LAD or Search role.
  • Motivate and mentor practice professionals to drive new reoccurring revenue growth
  • Assist in M&A due diligence and integration as required
  • Expand and maintain market and industry knowledge

What skills are important to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's Degree, professional certification, or equivalent training and experience required in Psychology, Human Resources, Business, Adult Education or a related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of the Canadian leadership and search industry
  • 10 years of experience in sales, service and delivery of executive search and leadership assessment and development
  • More than 10 years' experience in a supervisory or management role preferred
  • Multilevel relationship building skills, internally and externally
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and written communication ability
  • Exhibits strong abilit
