*Field Service Engine/Power Generation Technician (Calgary)

Collicutt Energy Services Corp, recognized experts in engine rebuilds and servicing and a leader in the natural gas and diesel power generation industry, is currently seeking a Field Service Generator / Engine Technician for our service trucks based within Central AB, to join our growing team.

*Primary Job Functions:

• Perform emergency field service, including preventative maintenance service, field repairs, troubleshooting, etc. on customer new and used equipment
• Conduct startups, new product commissioning, calibrations and load bank tests on site as required
• Test, measure, and verify electrical component operations, including energized components and electrical fields
• Overhaul natural gas engines and diesel engines
• Troubleshooting on engines and generators
• Natural gas/diesel engine and generator preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
• Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to the customer needs
• Communicate unresolved issues to Field Service Supervisor
• Complete required high-quality documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents
• Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Maintain drivers logs
• Maintain company cellular phone
• Available for 24 hour off duty on-call rotation and off duty customer phone support
• Mentor, develop and support junior staff and apprentices for future growth and development
• All other duties as required

*Qualifications and Education requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience and knowledge within the power generation or gas compression industry operating a field service truck
• Journeyman certificate or working towards journeyman certificate; HET, Millwright, Automotive, Electrician, Etc.
• Valid driver's license and clean abstract

*Required Competencies:

• Emergency standby generator experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and decision making skills
• Able to troubleshoot in-frame overhauls, repair and preventative maintenance on stationary natural gas engines and compressors in the field
• Proven mechanical and electrical aptitude combined with working knowledge of D/C and A/C electrical systems
• Strong ability to work as a team and with minimal supervision
• Experience completing drivers logs
• Safety and quality minded attitude
• Must be able to contend with the demanding schedule of field service work and 'on-call' rotation
• Able to read and understand drawings, service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic systems
• Above average computer skills; emails, Microsoft Word and Excel, engine software, etc.
• A high level of initiative and attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and organization skills
• Strong ability and willingness to learn
• Must have standard trade tools
• Available for, and legally able to, travel internationally
