    About Invictus Games 2025:
    The Invictus Games is a biennial international adaptive sporting competition for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans from around the world. Through the power of sport, the Games inspire recovery, support rehabilitation, and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who have served their country.

    The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will take place from February 8 to 16, 2025, on the traditional territories of the Lil ̓ wat7 ú l (L í l ̓ wat), x w m ə θ k wə y ̓ə m (Musqueam), S ḵ wx ̱ w ú 7mesh (Squamish) and s ə lilw ə ta ɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Over 500 wounded, injured and sick service personnel and Veterans from more than 20 nations are set to compete in a wide range of adaptive sports, including adaptive winter sports, for the first time in Invictus Games history.

    The Vancouver Whistler Games Corporation (VWGC) is a Canadian not-for-profit organization established to organize and host the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.

    The Role

    Accreditation Coordinator, will play a crucial role in supporting the accreditation process, ensuring smooth operations, and facilitating the participation of competitors, staff, volunteers, and other partner groups.

    Key Areas of Responsibility:

    • Support the Accreditation Manager in the planning and execution of the accreditation process for all participants, including competitors, team officials, volunteers, media personnel, dignitaries, and other partner groups.
    • Support in uniform distribution program.
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather and verify accreditation requirements, including eligibility criteria, documentation, and background checks.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of accreditation policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with organizational standards and protocols.
    • Coordinate the registration and credentialing of accredited individuals, overseeing the distribution and collection of accreditation badges, passes, and materials.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for accreditation inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to internal and external partners.
    • Liaise with venue management, security personnel, and other relevant parties to facilitate access control and security measures during the event.
    • Maintain accurate records and databases of accredited individuals, tracking their status, privileges, and access permissions throughout the event cycle.
    • Monitor and address any issues or discrepancies related to accreditation, escalating complex matters to the Accreditation Manager for resolution.
    • Conduct training sessions and orientations for accreditation staff, volunteers, and participants to ensure understanding of accreditation processes and protocols.
    • Assist in the evaluation and improvement of accreditation procedures, recommending enhancements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
    • Contribute to post-event reporting and debriefing activities, documenting lessons learned and best practices for future events.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:

    • Secondary education in a relevant field such as event management, sports administration, hospitality, or business administration.
    • Previous experience in accreditation coordination, event operations, or related fields, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management, documentation, and record-keeping.
    • Proficiency in computer applications and software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management systems.
    • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
    • Knowledge of security protocols, access control procedures, and event logistics is desirable.
    • Passion for Military, sports, and community engagement is a plus.
