    Job Description

    Assistant director Fleet Management will be responsible for establishing effective performance and maintenance strategies for all mobile assets throughout all our Canada and US sites. You will collaborate with stakeholders at different levels within the organization to support the achievement of business objectives;​

    • Leading and coaching a team of Mobile Asset and strategic sourcing specialists in the execution of procedures to achieve organizational performance objectives;​
    • Collaborating with different stakeholders in the development and maintenance of standardized preventive maintenance programs for each type of mobile equipment;​
    • Developing and controlling mobile asset metrics that measure the effectiveness of different programs such as maintenance and repair, downtime, equipment disposal, and extending equipment life.​
    • Developing equipment disposition plans annually;​
    • Collaborating with different stakeholders to assess and monitor depreciation and compare with the estimated life of each piece so that interventions are made to extend the life of the equipment where necessary;​
    • Collaborating with different stakeholders to determine the appropriate disposal method;​
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of the company's Surplus Equipment website;​
    • Managing multiple large-scale budgets. ​
    • Elevate skills in order to replace the current Director of Mobile asset management​
    Qualifications
    • University degree in a relevant field preferred; ​
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience and a solid background in repair and maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment; ​
    • Bilingualism - both written and spoken in French and English;​
    • Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, etc.​
    • Ability to apply logical principles to solve problems and manage many variables and determine appropriate action;​
    • Ability to analyse data, develop effective equipment strategies related to these analyses and implement them at the operational level;​
    • Have a thorough knowledge of the heavy equipment market;​
    • Familiarity with Maximo, Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, and the Oracle EAM software suite, purchasing and inventory management. ​
