Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with the maintenance manager to troubleshoot and successfully resolve any mechanical problems to keep two soybean processing facilities up and running
- Work in either of the soybean processing facilities (packaging soybeans, palletizing bags, driving forklift, taking samples, cleaning the plant and equipment)
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other equipment
- Be a contributing member to our team with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to develop and be a part of our company culture
- Perform all technical procedures ensuring compliance with safety and security measures, standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Operating Procedures (GOP), HACCP and government regulations for all tasks
- Communicate with coworkers to provide or request assistance when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Has previous experience with handson repair of machinery in an agricultural, industrial or manufacturing setting
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
- Ability to work at heights and in small spaces in the processing plants
- Analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems logically
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skill
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Valid G class driver's license as a minimum and a clean driving record
- The ability to fabricate parts and weld would be a strong asset
- Knowledge of industrial electrical would be a strong asset
- Previous agricultural experience or background would be an asset
