  • This is a fully remote role with the opportunity to work in Canada, USA or beyond). From time to time, you will be requested to attend meetings, conferences, or functions at various global locations, so you need to have a valid passport and be ready to travel_

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Work alongside the SVP Global Partnerships to develop and grow the Sterling Global Benefits Practice, both in terms of process, people and revenue;
  • Train and educate internal stakeholders on where opportunity is for Sterling to take lead on clients Global Benefits consulting needs;
  • Educate external stakeholders and partners on the value proposition of the Sterling Global Benefits Practice;
  • Consult and deliver solutions to Global Benefits Practice clients working to deadlines and clearly defining project scope;
  • Proactive communication with Partner service teams, clients, and carriers. This includes handling client and/or carrier questions/issues on plans, services therein, process and delivery of Global Benefits coordination, such as renewals and escalations to client HQ. This will often involve high level contact with senior HR/Reward/Compensation professionals.
  • Participate in preparation of new and renewal submissions.
  • Develop process for RFI and RFP responses with SVP Global Partnerships.
  • Develop a service plan tailored to client's needs with designated Partners.
  • Conduct periodic coverage and business risk reviews.
  • Develop sales of additional lines of coverage or services on existing accounts.
  • Responsible for collection of all account receivable items and/or review of foreign revenue shares.
  • Communicate to Account Managers regarding the account review information and then bind coverage information in conjunction with workflow standards.
  • Actively support the Sterling global network of broker and nonbroker partners by engaging with Worldwide Broker Network [WBN] and other organizations.
  • Maintains records of Global Benefits clients and projects, forming processes to use existing tools such as Salesforce.

What will you offer:


  • 2+ years of touch on Global Benefits this could have been in a broker setting or within an HR team delivering within a global employer.
  • 5 years plus Employee Benefits expertise and be well versed in North American and/or global benefits landscape and products.
  • Ability to lead initiatives, think independently, ask for support when needed and think laterally.
  • You will work in a fastpaced growth environment with energy and vigour.
  • An appreciation of the global nature of the role and that time zones can determine availability.
  • You will own your role and actions.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain the required professional insurance licensing [dependent on location];
  • Develop and oversee workflows.
  • You will engage the Sterling team and Partners alike and facilitate collaboration.
  • Motivated by building from scratch and finding creative solutions.
  • Dealing with different cultures, you will have great communication and listening skills and an ability to recognise that there is a diversity to your solutions and communication.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • You will be expert in your use of technology and programs such as Microsoft Office., in particularly Excel.
