Duties & Responsibilities

Execute weekly work plans to achieve project production targets
Assign Work Cards and direct maintenance activities
Ensure Work Cards are accomplished by the correct personnel with the support of an applicable ACA holder
Ensure all maintenance is performed in accordance with the requirements of any Applicable Airworthiness Requirements
Promote interdepartmental communication and coordination
Review new generated non-routine work cards for appropriate defect description/location and time estimates
Communicate daily status of work cards and plan progression to Crew Chiefs
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Companies policies and procedures
Monitor crew performance, address complaints, and resolve problems
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
Provide daily status review updates to applicable Crew Chief and/or Production Manager to ensure all Production concerns are addressed
Review all closed work cards for accuracy and completeness
Complete Work order tasks when Lead Hand duties are accomplished (Working Lead Hand)
Ensure shop area and company tools are maintained in a clean and safe condition (5S)
Act as Fire Warden as required
Perform any other related project or task as required

Supervisory/Lead Hand Duties

Directly supervise assigned production personnel and coordinate workflow/task sequencing to achieve production goals
Provide Leadership, Direction, Mentorship and On Job Training to Production personnel
Monitoring and evaluate performance and efficiency of production personnel including performance review assessments.
Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork by promoting a positive work culture within the workforce to ensure set productivity and performance targets are met
Ensure safe work practices are maintained by assigned production team members
Promote and maintain a clean work environment

Education & Experience

Minimum 3 years industry experience and hold appropriately rated Transport Canada AME license
Experience on CL215, CL215T or CL415 considered and asset
Excellent organization and communication skills
Experience leading people with demonstrated team-building skills

Working Conditions


Environment:
Indoors Hangar Production Floor, occasional outdoors


Exposures encountered:
Hazardous materials, loud noise, fumes, dust, odors, gases, heat/cold, trips, slips, fall, cuts & lacerations, burns, strains, sprains, tears


Job hazards:
mobile equipment, forklift, Working at heights, power tools, hand tools


Essential physical requirements:
stand, kneel, lift, push, pull, carry, walk, stairs


Physical effort:
medium, lifting to 50 pounds
