Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift operator/yard hand/general laborer to join our team.

You will be responsible for providing general assistance in various tasks related to the steel manufactuting operations in our facility, including painters and machine operators.

This role requires the operation of a forklift, some physically demanding abilities to load/unload material deliveries. If you have a strong work ethic we encourage you to apply.


Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks using forklifts
• Moving steel, material handling, operating feeding lines in shop
• Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper storage and organization of materials
• Maintain yard stock
• General laborer duties, including painting and housekeeping
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Skills:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs, if required and perform physically demanding tasks, when required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Basic math skills for inventory management and calculations
• Proficiency in operating forklifts
• Experience of safe use of power tools and tool/equipment maintenance
• Safety concisous, previous safety training certifications, an asset
• 1 year manufacturing shop/warehouse experience

Salary:
$20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
