Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our team as a Warehouse Associate in our Winnipeg branch.

Job Summary


Levitt-Safety is currently recruiting an experienced Warehouse Associate (Shipping, Receiving & Fulfillment) for our Winnipeg branch, someone to efficiently process inbound and outbound shipments while protecting our Inventory investment through safe handling and storage of product.


This role also includes scheduling repairs and maintenance of the Winnipeg facility as an integral part of the position's responsibility.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure we can achieve service level, efficiency, and safety goals
  • Help implement the new Warehouse Management System (TWL
  • Infor)
  • Ship & Receive orders to ensure established guidelines and customer requirements are met
  • Deal with customers who pickup orders in the warehouse including processing credit card payments for pickups and other orders.
  • Meet our internal servicelevel commitments for accurate and timely shipments to our customers for Western Canada.
  • Work with Procurement to ensure effective handling of transactions
  • Monitor facility maintenance and repair needs, schedule work and negotiate with service providers and contractors. Establish mechanisms for handling daily facility issues.
  • Participate in Carrier Contracts negotiations to select those carriers are selected to provide best value
  • Ensure that bills of lading and related documents (including TDG/IATA) are prepared properly and that shipping transactions are accurately entered in our shipping system
  • Put in place effective mechanisms for accommodating rush and emergency requirements including afterhours service
  • Complete cyclecounts per daily schedule and adequate Inventory Controls are in place maintained and followed
  • Safeguard Control Goods as per regulations
  • Ability to selfmanage and prioritize your day with little supervision
  • Work with the service coordinator and assist with incoming and outgoing equipment to and from vendors.
Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse setting
  • Knowledge of all applicable Occupational Health & Safety standards
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems & ISO9001:2015 is ideal
  • Valid Forklift is an asset and the ability to maintain ongoing certification
  • TDG certification is an asset
  • Experience in facilities management or coordination in an industrial setting is an asset
  • Experience with Automated Warehousing systems preferred
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and picker
  • Detailoriented with effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be dependable and demonstrate team player skills
