Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a correctional setting. As a Detention Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in custody.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of RCMP members to monitor cell blocks, conduct searches, and perform other duties as required. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
Safely observe and check prisoners frequently to ensure their well-being. Ensure all doors are locked at all times. Monitor prisoners while they are in hospital (when required).
Requirements
In order to excel as a Detention Guard with our organization, you must possess these key qualifications:

The Occupational First Aid level 1 certificate from St John's Ambulance (OFA1) must be held by each individual interested on this position; once hired we keep updated certificates up-to-date;
in addition,you should obtain RCMP Reliability Clearance within approximately four-six months after beginning employment.
