Desired Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Start Date: January 30, 2023
End Date: Initial term approved to the Province of Ontario's current fiscal year end, March 31, 2023. Additional weeks, ending after 26 weeks in total, is pending the approval of Ottawa Festivals' fiscal year JCP program agreement with the Province of Ontario.
Work Schedule:
Full Time - 4 business days (32 hours per week)
Location: Hybrid - Virtual and Westboro office
Job Summary:
Reporting to and working under the supervision of the Ticketing and Customer Service Managers.
The Client Services Assistant will provide assistance with general customer service and ticketing as well as for the festival's VIP services related to client support and ticketing.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for fulfilling VIP ticket orders and answering questions about various VIP services.
- Assist with planning VIP areas and managing a small budget related to decor and amenities.
- Assist the ticketing department with client relations for VIP and highprofile clients.
- Work with marketing, sponsorship, and graphics to produce promotional and informational documents about each area.
- Liaise with VIP section staff at the festival to ensure standards are met and problems are resolved effectively.
- Coordinate signage and banners at the festival for VIP areas.
- Postfestival: work closely with other departments creating reports from data gathered during the season.
- Other duties as required for the position.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize; excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven success multitasking in a highpressure environment and ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Highly professional and able to interact with a variety of guests and stakeholders.
- Previous customer relations, event experience, and bilingualism are assets.
ADDITIONAL QUALFICIATIONS REQUIRED:
Eligible to participate in Ontario's Job Creation Partnership (JCP) program by meeting the following criteria:
1. An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week (part-time students and graduates may apply)
2. Live in Ontario
3. Legally authorized to work in Canada
4.
Have one, or both, of the following criteria:
a. Established an Employment Insurance (EI) benefit claim (regular or maternity/parental benefits ONLY)
b. Paid employee payroll premiums, i.e., employed in Canada, in
fiveof any five of the last ten years while earning an annual income of at least $2000 (gross).
Remuneration:
$620 (gross) per week for 32 hours ($19.375 average per hour) provided by the Province of Ontario.
