Security Guard - Full Time (Temp) - Windmill Point Park

Pay Rate:
$19.00 / an hour

Site Description:

Windmill Point Park's 45 acre location began its history in the early 1900's.

Used by the local mining industry, the quarry's limestone helped to build roadways, historical buildings and land marks in the Fort Erie area.

Once the mining industry moved on, the quarry made by mining limestone was left to fill with natural spring water and aquatic life.

The result:
Windmill Point Park.

Working on assigned shifts, you will work full time shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents.

You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner.

You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.

In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time

Job Duties / Responsibilites:

This position is a high-caliber position and will also include the following responsibilities:

Be able to de-escalate situations that may arise
Knowledgeable of the Trespass to Property Act and when to enforce it
Excellent communication and strong customer service skills
Be able to work outside
Be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for a prolong period of time.
Maintain security presence in the area to deter disruptive behavior, loitering, and property damage

Qualifications:

Minimum of one years of Security or related experience
A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
A WSIB Approved First Aid/ CPR Level C
Proficient in English (both oral and written)
Vulnerable Sector Check
COVID Double Vaccination
Customer Service Experience
Must have a reliable, working vehicle
Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a prerequisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availabilit
