    \tThe Merchandiser Trainee Program facilitates the recruitment, selection and professional development of persons employed to support the merchandising operations of Bunge Canada with in the crush plant office as well as various plant operations located in Western Canada with travel to St Louis. The candidate will gain both experience and knowledge in various positions including and not limited to training in Hedging/Basic Grain Trading, Plant Operations, Crushing/Refining Operations, Accounting, Grain Procurement, Merchandiser training, etc.\r

    Core Functions:
    \r

    \t\r
    \t\tTrainees will receive exposure to crushing activities and general plant operations.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tTrainees will rotate through several key operating departments and key locations.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tIt is anticipated that trainees will participate in Kaizen productivity events each of year of their participation in the program.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tParticipants will have the opportunity to receive exposure to programs and procedures supporting product quality and food safety. In doing so, the trainees will participate in at least one site quality audit and AIB audit.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tAt the direction of Bunge management, trainees will receive exposure to budgeting process, contract management and grain accounting.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tThe merchandising staff in the local office will provide a more in-depth understanding of the Company's merchandising activities, including sales and marketing of Bunge's products and customer development and relations.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tTrainees will receive exposure to various trading desks and commodities handled at each location.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tParticipants will also receive exposure to the U.S. trading operations and will have an opportunity to contribute by conducting research, preparing and presenting reports of their findings to senior management.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tParticipants will work with the various commodity sales and marketing groups.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tAdditional duties as assigned.\r

    Skill/Experience Requirements:
    \r

    \t\r
    \t\tNew college or university graduates with a degree in commerce, finance, accounting or a related field or prior work experience in commodity training or agribusiness is preferred.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tFlexibility in accepting job and work assignments.\r
    \t\r
    \t\t

    Willingness to relocate frequently at the request of the Company to any of the following facilities:
    Fort Saskatchewan, AB; Nipawin, SK; Harrowby, MB, Altona, MB and St Louis, MO. Throughout the duration of the Merchandiser Trainee Program the trainee will relocate to various Bunge locations.\r

    \t\tAbility to travel without restriction to other countries.\r

    \t\tWillingness to travel to other Bunge facilities.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tAbility to understand and build knowledge of futures market and agricultural economics.\r

    \t\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\r

    \t\tGeneral level of competence in standard computer software Outlook and Excel.\r

    \t\tAbility to work in a team and general office environment.\r
    \t\r
    \t\tDemonstrated organization and planning capabilities and problem-solving abilities.\r

    \t\tAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and conflicting objectives.\r
