Position Overview:
UNIQLO Canada is looking for PR/Marketing Intern to support our team with the development and implementation of UNIQLO marketing, specifically related to PR and Influencer management, and social media content creation for the Canadian market.
This position is responsible for supporting the team with administrative tasks, agency communication, support our existing ambassador program, and organic content for social media.
The PR/Marketing Intern will collaborate with cross functional team members, vendor / agency partners and store teams to ensure best in class marketing execution and consumer engagement.
S/he will interface with various teams including:
Merchandising, E-Commerce, Finance, Store Operations and Store Managers. This is a position that requires independence, self-motivation, public presentation, and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help maintain ambassador program (goals, ambassador discovery, community management and engagement, contract negotiations, content approvals, etc.)
- Assist in managing marketing budget and invoice processing.
- General administrative support to assist in execution of PR and Influencer programs (e.g., planning assistance, presentation development, event planning, local photo and footage requests, routing materials through Legal, etc.)
- Generating engaging organic social content that is relevant and timely.
- Support team with in store activations, event execution, and provide ongoing support of existing stores within Canada.
- Assist with meeting scheduling and communication with vendors and consultants.
- Conduct local market research and competitor analysis, as well as track and analyze marketing campaign ROI and projects for all reporting needs.
- Conduct business analyses and post marketing campaign reviews.
- Proactively identifies new trends and opportunities as they emerge on social media and can quickly ideate
- Other related duties to be assigned by supervisor and team as needed.
Desired Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Passion for or experience in retail and consumer marketing
- Passion for Social Media with some experience creating engaging social content
- Ability to recognize trends within Social media
- Takes initiative to create and share new ideas
- Knowledgeable in MS Office, especially Excel, and Google Suite
- Strong customer service mentality and interest in store operations
- Skilled at project management (owning timelines and deliverables)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels and cross functionally
- Team player, with the ability to work well across functional teams
- Highly organized, detailoriented, and able to multitask
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, deadlineoriented environment
- Multicultural sensitivity
- Ability to travel and flexible work hours as needed to support events and openings
