Support Clerk Commercial Lines (P&C or Auto), to join our growing team

As a
Underwriting
Assistant or
Underwriting
Support Clerk Commercial Lines (P&C or Auto) your work will have a big impact on the Commercial Service Unit Auto and Property and Casualty department.

People will count on you to process files and administrative tasks while supporting the Underwriters.

This position reports to the Unit Manager, Commercial Lines and is a permanent position requiring a minimum of 2 days in our Calgary or Edmonton office.

What you'll do here:

Handle insurance policy endorsements and cancellations
Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously
Assist Underwriters with the administration of complex policies
Support brokers regarding underwriting and rating policies
Work closely to develop and maintain positive business partnerships with brokers and coworkers
Use the computer system for policy inquiry, electronic filing, underwriting and rating transactions
Make recommendations to improve the department and increase its efficiency

What you bring to the table:

Commercial P&C experience is an asset
Strong typing skills to process daily work
Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Initiative and ability to work under pressure
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products and computer tools
Team player
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
