**Location: Glen Arbour Golf Course
The Glen Arbour Golf Course is a private golf course located in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, just west of Halifax and features a classic eighteen-hole championship course, a nine-hole par three as well as a practice facility.
Glen Arbour is operated as a Limited Partnership whose philosophy is to create a course with excellent conditions in a family-friendly environment, with service standards that are best in class.
The Golf Shop Attendant will assist in the operations of the Golf shop including but not limited to, answering phones, managing tee times, checking-in golfers, enforcing the dress code and selling merchandise while ensuring high quality service to members and guests.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Greet Members and Guests in a professional, prompt and helpful manner upon arrival and provide excellent customer service and assistance before and after their round.
- Process daily Golf Shop transactions through the POS, including merchandise sales, green fees, cart rental fees, and club rental fees.
- Relay tournament, special event and Deerfield pub information to our Members and Guests
- Ensure all golf policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Glen Abour
- Opening and closing the Golf Shop, including cash outs, reviewing teesheets, etc.
- Perform daily tasks such as restocking merchandise, organizing inventory and maintain Golf Shop cleanliness
- Maintain an understanding of new brands, services and merchandise the Golf Shop offers
- Advise customers on use and care of merchandise and provide advice concerning specialized products or services.
- Assist with inventory at month end in accordance with inventory procedures
- Assist in making tee time reservations and changes, while maintaining communication with outside services Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor or management
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Customer Service experience
- Golf experience, considered an asset
- Have a valid driver's license
- Willingness to learn and work as a team
- First aid, CPR considered an asset Willing to work evenings and weekends
