Tea J Tea ) is a premium specialty tea company based in the United States.

We source authentic Vietnamese teas are directly from tea farms and delivered to customers worldwide through our Shopify store, subscription program, and exclusive tea experiences, including our Vietnam Tea Tour 2026.

We focus on quality, authenticity, education, and customer experience.

We are hiring two experienced Shopify Developers for a long-term engagement.

This role combines Shopify development and ongoing store ownership, not just front-end edits.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Shopify Developer & Store Manager who can:

Build custom features using Liquid, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs
Optimize performance and improve conversion rates
Maintain and manage the store on an ongoing basis
Ensure technical reliability, speed, and SEO health
Act as a technical owner of the Shopify platform

You will work directly with the founders and collaborate with our internal team via ClickUp.

This is a long-term role for someone who can take ownership and continuously improve the store.

Primary Responsibilities
Shopify Development (Core Responsibility)

Build custom Shopify sections, templates, and landing pages
Modify and extend Shopify themes using Liquid
Develop custom functionality beyond theme limitations
Work with Shopify APIs, metafields, and dynamic content
Implement conversion-focused UX improvements
Create reusable, modular components
Maintain and improve our Online Store 2.0 theme

Performance Optimization

Improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP)
Reduce page load time and improve Shopify Speed Score
Optimize images, scripts, and theme code
Remove unnecessary app bloat and inefficiencies
Implement lazy loading, critical CSS, and efficient asset loading

SEO and Technical SEO Implementation

Implement structured data (JSON-LD schema)
Optimize product pages for search visibility
Improve page structure, metadata, and indexing
Ensure proper URL structure and internal linking
Implement organization, product, and breadcrumb schemas

Store Management and Maintenance

Maintain product listings, images, descriptions, and pricing
Monitor site functionality and resolve bugs
Test checkout flow and site functionality regularly
Manage theme updates and compatibility
Monitor and maintain overall store health

Integrations and Automation

Integrate Shopify apps and third-party tools
Troubleshoot integration issues
Implement workflow automation where appropriate
Optimize existing integrations for performance and reliability

Required Skills

Applicants must have strong experience in:

3+ years of Shopify development
Shopify Liquid templating (advanced level)
Figma
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Shopify Online Store 2.0 architecture
Shopify APIs and metafields
Performance optimization and debugging
Technical SEO implementation
Troubleshooting Shopify themes and apps

You must be comfortable building custom functionality, not just editing themes.

Preferred (Strong Bonus)

Experience optimizing Shopify conversion rates
Experience improving Core Web Vitals
Experience with Shopify subscriptions
Experience with Klaviyo, , or similar tools
Experience removing app dependencies via custom code
Experience working with premium brands

Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
