The Role and Opportunity:
The Canadian Mental Health Association is looking for a Residential Support Worker (RSW) for the Safe Bed Program.
The
Safe Bed Program provides
_ _24-hour on-site residential support and short-term case management services to individuals living with mental illness who have been involved with the criminal justice system.
CMHA Toronto proudly provides services to over 10,000 clients per year, in 31 programs at 13 locations across the City of Toronto.
Our services are delivered by a passionate and diverse team.Join us in providing high quality mental health and addictions services, advocating for a better mental health system, and providing education and mental health supports to clients across Toronto.
Hourly Rate:
$29.74
Work Location: 940 Wilson Avenue, North York
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Program Manager, the RSW work closely with the team to supporting clients. The RSW will be required to provide on-site direct service provision and support clients based on their goals. They will conduct intake assessments will orient clients to the programs and services as well crisis interventions as needed. The purpose of the RSW will be to perform residential duties and maintain a safe, clean and secure environment. The RSW will also respond to the telephone registry inquiries regarding crisis bed availability.
The RSW will also be required to maintain trusting, respectful and collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues; service providers and other community supports.
