Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant/Child Development Associate
If you are passionate about helping children and youth communicate to the best of their ability and enhancing their relationships while maximizing their quality of life, this is your chance to work with an interdisciplinary team to reach your goals.
Our approach to virtual care incorporates the use of advanced, secure virtual technology, and a full-service client concierge, to deliver effective treatment where you can connect directly with your clients to assist in their care as well as facilitate consultations.
Your primary responsibility will be implementing interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental delays and/or motor delays.
The Assistant will work within an interdisciplinary team while providing an engaging and positive client experience in a fast paced and frequently changing environment.
Take an inside look at what you will do each day:
- Communication with family/client and supervisor on session progress
- Implementation of treatment plans based on best practices.
- Prepares teaching materials and organizes teaching environment
- Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client
- Responsible for maintaining the wellbeing and safety of the client while under their care
- Responsible to track client progress through the collection of data and graphing while keeping clients engaged
Here is what you will need to be successful
- Postsecondary course work in Occupational Therapy.
- Postsecondary course work in Physiotherapy.
- Experience working in pediatric services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as an OTA/PTA
- Certification as Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Current Standard CPR and First Aid Certificate
Job Types:
Part-time, Casual
Salary:
$30.00-$38.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
