    Description
    Our client, a single-asset gold mining company based in Vancouver, operates a gold mine in Ghana. We are seeking a talented Mine Planning Engineer to join our client's team in Vancouver, BC.

    This role is pivotal in supporting their operations both locally and internationally, ensuring the continued success and safety of their projects.

    Senior Mining ManagerJob Summary:

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the mining sector, particularly in using scheduling software and working with consultants.

    This role requires a deep understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and the ability to apply them to ensure the stability and efficiency of mining operations.


    Designing Mine Layouts:
    Creating detailed plans for the layout of mines, including the placement of tunnels, shafts, and other infrastructure.
    • Developing schedules for mining operations to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to timelines.
    • Estimating the quantity and quality of mineral resources to determine the feasibility of mining projects.
    • Preparing cost estimates and budgets for mining projects, considering equipment, labor, and other expenses.

    Environmental Compliance:
    Ensuring that mining plans comply with safety regulations and environmental standards to minimize risks and impacts.
    • Analyzing and optimizing mining processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Working closely with geologists, environmental scientists, and other engineers to integrate various aspects of the mining project.
