Working on a regular Light Duty Cleaner capacity - you still perform regular cleaning duties compliance with the schedule for detail cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor and other duties as assigned while leading your team members.

Responsible for your team's schedule to ensure it is within budget and finding coverage for shifts that are uncovered. Assist Area Supervisor with handling vacation requests and promote efficiency and with the Area Supervisor when needed.

Promote Health and Safety Awareness, Train Staff for Safe Work Procedures and also Reinforce Health and Safety work environment. Responsible to communicate any Health and Safety related items to staff i.e. Health and Safety Meeting Minutes, Changes in Program etc.

Train, motivate, evaluate and do progressive discipline with the staff. Responsible for corrective actions and employee discipline up to first written warnings. Further progressive disciplinary action should be referred to People & Culture.

Quality Assurance Tasks
-
Tracking of and maintaining company equipment.

Promptly rectify any service complaints via response, resolve and report.

Engage in on-going personal training

Ensure all company protocols and rules of conduct are being adhered i.e.
- WCB, WHMIS, Uniform, Behavior at work etc.
Adhere to all schedules via daily, weekly, monthly checklists.

Follow up on various additional cleaning schedules, including special areas/ specific time cleaning etc.

Take part in random inspections performed by Ultra Shine Management Team.
Relationships:
- Internal Contacts frequent contact with Area Supervisor, Janitors, Administrative Coordinator, Controller, President, CEO, IT Manager, General Manager and Manager, Customer Experience & Quality Assurance
- External Contacts frequent contact with suppliers, customers and general public
- Previous supervisory experience
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods of time;
- Bending, stooping, reaching up and lifting up to 50 pounds; and
- Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
