Description:


As a Counsellor I (Tobacco Cessation Counsellor (TCC)), you will provide client-centered support and telephone consultation, providing information to support and enable the client to decrease or refrain from the use of tobacco.

You require a solid knowledge of mental health and addictions related issues, motivational interviewing and counselling techniques.

You will manage multiple tasks, utilizing their organizational skills while inputting data and retrieving client information throughout the consultation period.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in a health related field. Minimum two years' experience in a mental health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current First Aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers or College of Alberta Psychologists preferred. Experience with customer service and assisting people with Tobacco cessation/addictions or lifestyle changes is an asset.
