Titmouse is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient full-time Building Services Assistant
to join our awesome Facilities/Operations team


LOCATION:
Vancouver, BC


GENERAL FUNCTION:

As a member of the Operations team in the Titmouse Vancouver location, the Building Services Assistant will provide exceptional customer service to our Employees, Guests and Vendors alike, as well as assist the Building Services Manager with operational and administrative duties that support the facility and all Studio endeavours.

You will handle the function of Building Services Assistant with enthusiasm and always keep in mind that you are representing the Studio to all you come in contact with.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Serve as main lobby front desk greeter to all employees, guests and vendors; assess purpose of Studio visit and provide appropriate direction; oversee guest/vendor checkin process via Sine software.
  • Receive all mail, packages and deliveries; notify appropriate internal parties for pickup and/or coordinate delivery to final destination.
  • Organize shipments and pickups staged in the main lobby while always maintaining tidiness of area; assist with packing and preparing shipments of Studio or crew gifts.
  • Schedule interviews as requested on behalf of hiring managers.
  • Help Building Manager as needed with general Studio operational issues: troubleshooting employee service requests, maintaining common areas, coordinating daily repairs/maintenance, assisting with furniture moves, helping with janitorial, parking, access control and security matters.
  • Help field requests and coordinate internal employee inquiries through online service ticketing system (requests for office supplies, furniture changes, conference room bookings, badge reactivations, general R&M, etc.).
  • Assist the Building Services Manager with quality control inspections to ensure the Studio is presentable and neat at all times, maintaining all common areas in the buildings lobby, kitchens, break areas, artist work areas, conference rooms.
  • Make coffee and restock inventory of kitchen, office and washroom supplies.
  • Help with basic cleaning in the absence of janitorial service (empty trash, refill washroom supplies, load and unload dishwashers, etc.).
  • Assist Building Services Manager with coordinating inhouse events and parties as well as offsite events; research vendors and help coordinate logistics; order food and supplies, perform setup/cleanup; may require occasional night or weekend hours
  • Run offsite errands if Building Services Manager is out of office (food pickup, postal service, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:


  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an office environment, preferably in Entertainment, Events or a creative environment
  • Preferred working knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Be detailoriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills needed. Able to work independently, as well as collaborate and work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
  • Selfstarter, resourceful, but also able to take direction.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
  • Being flexible/adaptable is essential.
  • Enthusiastic commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must maintain confidentiality over all matters and proprietary information
$20 - $23 an hour

  • Hourly rate will be dependent on experience
