Duties and Responsibilities

  • Case manager will review cases (inpatient and outpatient), assist customers, will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and will ensure the overall management of a medical claim in accordance with the terms and conditions of insurance contracts.
  • We are looking for bilingual French/Spanish Case Managers.
  • Manage medical cases
  • Conduct daily monitoring of hospitalized patients and/or outpatient care, updating notes and keeping records of decisions in computer system
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to assist with best outcomes
  • Interpret policies to provide insurance benefits abd eligibility to insured and health providers
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication
  • Follow procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Comply with insurance regulatory bodies
  • Recommend solutions in regard to patient medical repatriation including commercial transfers and airambulance transfers
  • Align with company values, vision and mission

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Minimal); Postsecondary education preferred
  • Familiarity with Medical terminology
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Excellent typing/computer, communication and presentation skills
  • You are a Team Player
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively; adapt in a busy environment with fluctuating workloads
  • Ability to work day, evening and weekends.
  • Excellent bilingual communication (both written and verbal in French and English or Spanish and English)

Education and Experience
Case Management: 1 year (preferred)

  • Emergency assistance experience (2 years)
Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)

  • Experience in management of outpatient and inpatient travel medical insurance cases.
  • Experience in the healthcare system of the United States & Canada
