Description

The Woodworking Production Lead will report to the Business Manager and ensure that our team operates efficiently and delivers on production targets.

This role is a unique opportunity to lead a team of motivated individuals in our precision woodshop and production area.

You will be responsible for full oversight of our process; from raw material processing, through woodworking to the dispatch of finished products.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and schedules the shop team, with daily shop meetings and task delegation.
  • Manages the team's production schedule.
  • Leads by example; ensures wood working practices are trained to and maintained at a high standard.
  • Interprets drawings and product specifications. Responsible for the quantity of products produced.
  • Manages compliance to company and local safety guidelines.
  • Manages upkeep of equipment preventative maintenance. Manages compliance to company manufacturing processes.
  • Manages employee performance including; attendance and performance reviews.
  • Manages recruitment of new team members.
  • Responsible for timesheet approvals. Develops talent within the team; supports team members to grow in their roles.
  • Supports job quoting and estimates.
  • Manage shop consumables.

Requirements:


  • Red Seal joinery certification or equivalent in Joinery or Carpentry
  • Minimum 2 years experience in supervision in a shop/manufacturing environment
