We're an international media company, looking for a Head of Subscriptions Marketing to join one of the world's leading business media companies and work across an international portfolio of market-leading B2B titles such as Canadian HR Reporter, Canadian Lawyer and Investment News.


As the Head of Subscriptions Marketing you will be responsible for the successful acquisition, retention, and growth of our print and digital paid media subscription base across a number of unique B2B brands.

You will lead a small team to design and execute an individual and enterprise subscription strategy for each brand and track against KPIs.

The role is expected to be product owner for paid subscriptions with responsibility of ultimate product success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and execute omnichannel marketing plan to attract and onboard new subscribers through targeted campaigns, promotions, and partnerships.
  • Create retention programs and personalized experiences to reduce churn and increase subscriber loyalty.
  • Develop subscription programs that deliver unified online and offline user experiences for print and digital subscribers.
  • Analyze customer data and feedback to identify potential issues and areas for improvement in subscription offerings.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to track subscription performance, user behavior, and revenue trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align subscription offerings with target audience preferences.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, offering insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct continuous market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Drive and project manage gotomarket strategy of NEW subscriptionbased products in collab with commercial, product and marketing teams

You will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B digital media subscription management, with a track record of driving subscriber growth and retention across both print and digital subscriptions.
  • Direct experience of shifting media titles from advertising revenue model to paid subscriptions model.
  • Strong analytical skills, adept at interpreting data to make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Indepth knowledge of subscription models, trends, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) and subscription management software.
  • MS Dynamics and Hubspot specific experience is an asset
