Operations Support Technician - Calgary
Pipelines2Data(P2D) is a pipeline cleaning and telemetry company operating in oil and gas markets globally. We design and develop proprietary pipeline inspection equipment. We offer a unique and varied experience for the right individual. P2D is seeking someone to help us continue expanding our Calgary based operations.

Main Job Functions:
Technical

Calibrating and testing Pipeline Inspection Tools
Fill out and maintain all required documentation

Electrical

Assist in building and testing of Electronics Modules

Mechanical

Routine mechanical assembly of pipeline inspection tools and assemblies
Read mechanical drawings
Disassemble and clean equipment
Maintain Inventory
Keep work area clean and organized
General shop duties

Field

Work independently on customer site launching and receiving pipeline inspection tools
Drive equipment to and from job sites and other facilities (Valid Class 5 drivers licence required)
Maintain field documentation and other records

Skills:

Preferred: Strong verbal and written communication
Essential: Strong mechanical aptitude
Preferred: Mechanical assembly experience
Essential: Demonstrated good organizational, planning, interpersonal and initiative skills
Preferred: Solid computer skills; ie Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Essential: Adherence to all safety guidelines both company and customer, including participation in Drug and alcohol testing
Preferred: Occasional Travel within Canada and USA
Essential: Job requires routine manual lifting of maximum of 50 lbs
Essential: Willing to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary with notice
Essential: Self motivated, selfguided and independent work practice
