Babysitter/nanny - Oakville, Canada - nannying

Schedule:
Friday-Sunday, 10-12 hour shifts preferred (start/end times negotiable)


Compensation:
Starting at $35 per hour, along with health benefits after a probationary period


Children: 4-year-old girl and 2-year-old girl


Responsibilities:

• Provide childcare and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children
• Perform light housekeeping duties and meal preparation
• Transport children to and from activities
• Accept and organize food/household deliveries
• Adhere to proper car seat safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare or related roles
• Strong understanding of child development and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to varying schedules and be available on short notice
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Early childhood education is an asset
• Knowledge of proper car seat safety protocols (CPST certification preferred)

Requirements:

• Availability from Friday morning through Sunday evening
• References from previous childcare positions
• Clear drug screening
• Clean driver's abstract
• Must live within a onehour commute (negotiable) and have reliable transportation (the clients live rurally and there is no public transportation availabl)
• Engage children in ageappropriate activities such as reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children
• Maintain a tidy and organized play area
• Follow parents' instructions regarding daily routines and schedules
• Provide basic caregiving duties such as bathing, dressing, and assisting with homework
• Ensure children's safety at all times
