Job Summary

The arborist supervisor is someone who has at least two of the following certifications - ISA Certification, Utility Certification and/or TRAQ Qualified.

This role is responsible for the safety of their team on site so a focus on safety is imperative.

This role is responsible for the training and supervision of your crew while also completing pruning and tree removal tasks.

Responsibilities

Completing job duties while also utilizing your training and experience to lead and train the tree care crew in the safe completion of job tasks including but not limited to:
Removal of trees
Disposal of branches/debris
Utilizing the chipper in a safe manner
Pruning
Climbingboth spurred and non.
How and when to use ropes and rigging
Utilizing equipment including saws
Maintenance of tools and equipment including cleaning, oiling, greasing, sharpening
Completing your crews' timecards
Completing all required safety forms
Inspecting all tools and equipment prior to use
Planning jobs and communicating said plans with your team

Job Specifications Education

ISA Arborist Certification is required with Utility Certification options
TRAQ is required

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of supervisory and training experience
Experience climbing both spurred and spurless
Experience in maintaining tools and equipment of the trade including the aerial lift truck
Experienced with ropes and rigging
Experienced with pruning and tree removal
Experienced and comfortable driving lift trucks
Experienced and comfortable operating chipper

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Valid Driver's License is required
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to communicate effectively with the public
Strong problemsolving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfortable working in a team environment

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements for this position include great eyesight, the ability to verbally communicate as well as the physical ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours a day while lifting up to 50 lbs.

This position requires the person to help the team in all aspects of the job.
