Position
Mangrove is seeking an exceptional individual to play a key role as a cross functional leader.
The Project Manager will work with the engineering and management teams to create and execute projects at Mangrove seeing through the initiation, planning, execution, and start-up phases of battery grade lithium refining plants.
The individual will have a diverse and well-rounded technical and entrepreneurial skill set and a track-record of successfully executing projects in a product development and technology commercialization environment.

- Provide technical leadership on the development of lithium refining projects.
- Lead crossfunctional teams starting from FEED and progressing through detailed engineering, construction, and plant startup.
- Work with the Engineering team and EPC management to establish the technical definition, project budget, schedule, and plant performance.
- Act as the technical expert during business development, stakeholder meetings and vendor negotiations.
- Support engineering teams to complete deliverables to the standards required for successful execution of the project.
- Liaise with the R&D team to identify development activities that inform the design.
- Provide subcontractor management and supplier oversight while developing and fostering these relationships.
- Support procurement to successfully execute the procurement strategy.
- Communicate project status to various stakeholders.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- Education: Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; Training in Project Management Methodologies. PMP Certification is preferred.
- Experience: minimum 10 years of relevant plant design and technical project leadership.
- Technical Skills: experience with process flow, piping and instrumentation, HAZOP, pumps, valves and plant equipment.
- Experienced in establishing procurement and partnership agreements.
- Ability to communicate effectively across the organization and external stakeholders.
Desirable Characteristics
- A selfstarter with the ability to work independently towards multiple deadlines with minimum supervision in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience and comfort working in a development environment.
- Thrive on doing things that have not been done before (explorer mindset).
- Must have either landed immigrant status or Canadian Citizenship.
