The Company has a highly experienced leadership team with a track record of successfully commercializing and deploying industrial technologies and is working towards the deployment of a first-of-a-kind commercial plant.

Position
Mangrove is seeking an exceptional individual to play a key role as a cross functional leader.

The Project Manager will work with the engineering and management teams to create and execute projects at Mangrove seeing through the initiation, planning, execution, and start-up phases of battery grade lithium refining plants.

The individual will have a diverse and well-rounded technical and entrepreneurial skill set and a track-record of successfully executing projects in a product development and technology commercialization environment.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on the development of lithium refining projects.
Lead crossfunctional teams starting from FEED and progressing through detailed engineering, construction, and plant startup.
Work with the Engineering team and EPC management to establish the technical definition, project budget, schedule, and plant performance.
Act as the technical expert during business development, stakeholder meetings and vendor negotiations.
Support engineering teams to complete deliverables to the standards required for successful execution of the project.
Liaise with the R&D team to identify development activities that inform the design.
Provide subcontractor management and supplier oversight while developing and fostering these relationships.
Support procurement to successfully execute the procurement strategy.
Communicate project status to various stakeholders.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

Education: Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; Training in Project Management Methodologies. PMP Certification is preferred.
Experience: minimum 10 years of relevant plant design and technical project leadership.
Technical Skills: experience with process flow, piping and instrumentation, HAZOP, pumps, valves and plant equipment.
Experienced in establishing procurement and partnership agreements.
Ability to communicate effectively across the organization and external stakeholders.

Desirable Characteristics

A selfstarter with the ability to work independently towards multiple deadlines with minimum supervision in a fastpaced environment.
Experience and comfort working in a development environment.
Thrive on doing things that have not been done before (explorer mindset).
Must have either landed immigrant status or Canadian Citizenship.
