As a member of the team, you will be working together with our Data Science and Street Pricing teams on cutting-edge pricing models while increasing the pace of delivery.

- Share best practices and guiding principles for model development in pricing. Identify systematic improvements to all parts of the process including objective setting, requirement gathering, development, validation and implementation.
- Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team including Data Science, Street Pricing and Enablement. Effectively influence stakeholders in other teams and hold them accountable for the deliverables. Be able to constructively challenge each other in the spirit of achieving the best result for Aviva.
- Understand the business objectives and be able to formulate the criteria and constraints for model development. Set constraints/requirements for the data science team to deliver the highest possible value.
- Regularly communicate stakeholders of varying technical expertise to achieve a common understanding of the goals, progress, and roadblocks. Act as a translator to put technical considerations in perspective for the businessoriented audience. Build a common understanding of tradeoffs between technical performance of the model's business/implementation considerations.
- Mentor junior members of the team and direct their daytoday activities. Be able to delegate and nurture competence in junior staff.
- Share knowledge and insights with the broader pricing team. Increase the level modeling competency and Python knowledge with the staff.
- Participate in the wider actuarial community at Aviva including the Actuarial Forum, social committees and the campus outreach program. Deepdive into the data and investigate any anomalies to explain the results and advise on potential solutions
- Minimum 4 years of P&C experience
- Experience working with and understanding pricing models, including model development, validation, or implementation
- Proficient in programming in Python
- Stay current with industry development and emerging trends, eager to learn
- Resourcefulness and ability to be highly independent.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate well and present ideas/decisions clearly to technical and nontechnical audience
