Your Impact

The Buyer will be sourcing materials and services from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with Qualitrol specifications, considerations of quality, and reliability of source.

Here's where you'll demonstrate your proficiencies:

Communicate and coordinate with factory manufacturers to ensure continuous supply of product, meeting quality and delivery standards.
Resolve any vendor line stopping issues.
Develop action plans and countermeasures with buyers, development, and factory teams for inventory control.
Participate and initiate continuous improvement through use of appropriate FBS tools.
Establish and maintain standard work and/or consistent training in the materials team.
Prepare purchase orders and new supplier agreements.
Resolve invoice discrepancies with account payable and suppliers.
Identify areas of improvement and work to implement change.
Coordinate delivery information with operations and customer service team.
Back-Up/Assist Materials Team when needed for Vacations/Time Off, Peak Demand etc.

Skills & Experience

Educated in Supply Chain Procurement Process
Certificate/Diploma/Degree preferred

Experience in Purchasing, Materials Management, or Supply Chain roles in a lean manufacturing environment.

Prior experience in materials planning and optimizing customer relationships and agreements.
Proficiency in ERP using MRP, KANBAN and purchasing systems desired.
Familiar with lean processes
Ability to prioritize and use analytical skills to simplify complicated situations.
Self-motivated to deliver results and make an immediate impact.
