Job summary
As a collaborative member of the health care team provides secretarial and administrative support within a team setting maintains a safe environment for patients families staff by adhering to safety policies procedures guidelines emergency procedures receives calls from all sources patients refers calls other parties provides information appropriate determines urgency incoming calls takes action relays information clinical staff outside facilities obtains reports contacting departments sources coordinates appointments tests collaboration clinical team accesses patient information system retrieves data as appropriate greets visitors handles enquiries arranges meetings conferences associated logistics acts recording secretary preparing agenda drafting typing distributing minutes prepares materials required opens screens prioritizes distributes mail maintains correspondence formats edits documents correspondence drafts routine items signature required assists collecting collating formatting preparing reports as required assists clinicians preparation research documents grant applications collates updating documents assists clinician scheduling timekeeping collaborating coverage needed performs related duties assigned.
